The arts and crafts market on Schaumainkai, which extends from Eiserner Steg to Liebieghaus, invites visitors to discover, browse and shop. Craftspeople from a variety of trades present their unique pieces and small series, carefully made by hand. The range extends from jewellery, ceramics and glass to textiles, leather goods and woodwork, as well as home accessories, stationery and decorative objects. The focus is on craftsmanship, creative design and the diversity of both traditional and contemporary techniques.

The arts and crafts market offers the opportunity to talk to the exhibitors, find out more about how their works are created and purchase special one-off pieces directly on site. The offer is aimed at everyone who appreciates exceptional craftsmanship – from interested trade visitors to families and people out for a stroll.

Poet's Corner on Schaumainkai, at the level of the Liebieghaus, is a meeting place for literature, music and art during the Museumsuferfest. Here, readings, musical contributions and artistic impulses invite visitors to linger, listen and take part. Authors, musicians and literature groups from Frankfurt and the region present a varied programme on all three event days – from poetry and prose to chansons and musical performances. The open atmosphere makes Poet's Corner a special place for encounters and exchange away from the hustle and bustle of the festival. The programme is organised by Farben International e. V. and realised with the support of the Literaturrat Hessen.

During the Museum Embankment Festival, numerous museums and cultural institutions offer a varied programme of workshops. Depending on the workshop, the activities are also aimed at young visitors, providing direct access to art, history and culture, and encouraging them to get creative themselves. The spectrum ranges from historical printing and craft techniques through creative design to modern art forms: Among other things, visitors can try their hand at linocut printing, design their own cloth bags, create comics, learn about graffiti techniques or explore historical scripts and forms of communication.

The workshops are free of charge with the Museum Embankment Festival Button and provide an easy way to get involved and give things a go. The programme is complemented by workshops on selected stages as well as further open hands-on activities at various locations across the Museum Embankment Festival.
