A weekend full of culture on the Main
The Museum Embankment Festival once again transforms Frankfurt into a hub for art, culture and history. More than two dozen museums and cultural institutions invite visitors to discover their exhibitions, collections and special programmes. Along the banks of the Main, visitors can explore both well-known institutions and unique cultural venues, gaining fascinating insights into art, architecture, film, literature, music, science and society.
Taking part are renowned institutions such as the Städel Museum, the Frankfurt Historical Museum, the DFF – German Film Institute & Film Museum, the Museum of Applied Arts, the Archaeological Museum and many other museums. Specialised institutions such as the MOMEM – Museum of Modern Electronic Music, the Struwwelpeter Museum and the Deutsche Bundesbank’s Money Museum also offer unique experiences and fresh perspectives.
