¡TILT! – Rock and pop with energy, character, and German lyrics
The alternative rock band ¡TILT! was founded in 2015 and is known for a
high-energy sound blending rock, alternative, and catchy pop elements. Instead of limiting themselves to a single genre, the quartet combines powerful rock-star guitars with danceable grooves and modern synth sounds—a mix that works just as well on stage as it does on streaming platforms.
At the heart of it all is the distinctive voice of frontman Dominik Bickel, who effortlessly switches between soulful falsetto pop and powerful rock vocals, giving the band’s sound an unmistakable touch. In their German-language lyrics, ¡TILT! explores the full spectrum of human emotions—from euphoria and a sense of new beginnings to inner conflicts, arguments, and self-reflection.
Til Kattke, among others, is responsible for the band’s characteristic guitar sound; his unconventional chords and explosive solos lend the band’s sound a special dynamism. Together, they create a modern alternative rock sound that is both catchy and musically distinctive.
With their single “Wir sind Overdrive,” ¡TILT! appeared on ZDF’s “Fernsehgarten.” This was followed by support shows for acts including The BossHoss and musicians from the
Beatsteaks. On their own, the band also achieved over 100,000 streams and gained more than 10,000 fans across various platforms.
This success also sparked international interest: The band’s latest album was produced by Stevie Salas—a platinum-award-winning musician and producer who has previously collaborated with stars such as Justin Timberlake, Mick Jagger, and Rod Stewart. Live, ¡TILT! performs not only their own songs but also a rousing set of German pop-rock classics and timeless cover hits—from Cro, Falco, and Echt to Kraftklub.
