PFUND
After twelve years, the time has finally come: PFUND is playing at the Museumsuferfest once again. It will be the grand finale of the weekend—a musical fireworks display before the actual fireworks.
After all, the band from southern Hesse has practically achieved cult status in Frankfurt with sold-out concerts at “Bett.” And all of this under the motto: “We only play what we feel like playing.”
What might sound selfish at first has proven to be the ultimate guarantee of a great party. After all, PFUND have been authentic, honest, and relatable ever since they formed. There isn’t a single song in the setlist that isn’t fully supported by all band members. And that’s exactly what makes PFUND special. You can feel the passion with which the four guys take the stage, all the way to the very back rows. And those rows can sometimes be quite far from the stage, because the quartet—with a rotating lineup of guitarists—now plays not only in intimate clubs and packed venues but also at major city festivals and open-air festivals with several thousand music fans.
And even though their repertoire has a rock-oriented sound, PFUND captivates audiences with the diversity and variety of their song selection. From The Police, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Kings of Leon to Oasis, Green Day, and Linkin Park, all the way to Revolverheld, The Killers, and Nirvana—the setlist is always powerful, but above all, emotional.
With three instruments plus vocals, PFUND creates a modern sound that’s earthy and consistently moving, because it comes across as unadulterated and, at times, almost spartan. As a result, it penetrates the ears all the more directly and continues to resonate long after the concert has ended.
