At the Jewish Museum Frankfurt, guided tours of the special exhibition “Mischpocha. The Art of Collaboration” and the permanent exhibition at the Rothschild Palace take place every hour.

"Jamming (and Dancing) to the Moonlight" is the final concert in the open-air series on the forecourt of the Jewish Museum. Together with Pat FM, a jam session takes shape in which a DJ sets the musical backdrop while several instrumentalists improvise live on Middle Eastern instruments. The result is a multi-layered sound blending electronic beats and acoustic tones—interactive and entirely in the moment. An evening that showcases how spontaneous music emerges through collaboration.

The workshop invites visitors to participate in the creation of a large, collaborative tapestry, with each participant contributing a single knot. Inspired by the symbolic significance of the knot in Judaism, the tapestry represents the power of collective action and unity, with each knot symbolizing a personal connection to the community and to the collective narrative of resistance and solidarity.

Children can get their faces painted, listen to exciting stories being read aloud, or take a ride on the musical carousel. A varied scavenger hunt and activities centered around “Noah’s Ark” invite visitors to explore and join in the fun. There are creative drawing and painting activities, and contests provide additional surprises. Refreshments are plentiful: there are freshly baked waffles, hot dogs, ice cream, and refreshing lemonade.

In the graffiti workshop led by artist Philipp Alexander Schäfer, children and teens can learn the basics of urban art and get creative themselves. Step by step, the artist demonstrates techniques from the street art scene—from initial sketches to using a spray can, all the way to creating their own small works of art. The focus is on creativity, a spirit of experimentation, and a playful approach to graffiti as an urban art form. Participants will create their own unique pieces to take home. An open, creative opportunity to try things out, create, and discover at the Museumuferfest.
