DIE RADIERER
DIE RADIERER from Limburg are probably Germany’s oldest post-punk band. Founded in 1978 by Jürgen Beuth and C. B. Bodenstein, they are—alongside DAF, Palais Schaumburg, Der Plan, and Fehlfarben, among the spearheads of the so-called “Neue Deutsche Welle.” In 1980, DIE RADIERER signed directly with the legendary ZickZack label, where they scored an early underground hit with “Angriff auf’s Schlaraffenland.”
